Bill Gates Admits: The Ctrl-Alt-Del Combination Was a Bad Idea!

Bill Gates' speech came against the background of a student meeting that took place during the famous Harvard University funding ceremony, in which he talked about the beginnings of Microsoft and the difficulties it faced.

Bill Gates said in this regard, "The decision to rely on a combination of three buttons was a wrong idea, as it was possible to rely on one button." But he added, "IBM, the keyboard manufacturer, didn't want that."

And about IBM's rejection of the option to rely on a single button instead of a combination of three, Bill Gates said that this was to prevent malware from redirecting users to a fake login screen intended to steal their passwords.

The real person responsible for the Ctrl-Alt-Del combination is the IBM engineer (David Bradley) who stated, "Maybe I invented the combination, but Bill Gates made it famous."
